When Arifa and Jude first met, it didn't take long for them to realize they'd found something special. What started as a casual meeting quickly grew into a love story that neither of them really saw coming. As they spent more time together, it became clear they were just meant to be.
The proposal was just as intimate as their connection. During a quiet cottage getaway surrounded by nature, Jude popped the question. It was a perfect, low-key moment, and Arifa’s "yes" started their journey toward forever!
I had the absolute honour of capturing every part of their summer wedding. Their celebration at the Aga Khan Museum and the Columbus Centre in North York was incredible. They exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family, and the whole day was truly beautiful.
We started with a first look against the incredible architecture of the Aga Khan Museum. To keep things light, we staged a playful first look with the groomsmen first! It brought so much laughter to the morning before the real, quiet moment between Arifa and Jude. You could see how much they ground each other, and it was such a moving moment to witness.
The portraits were all about those real, joyful moments that happen when people are just enjoying each other. Later on at the Columbus Centre, a live violinist played during the ceremony, which made everything feel so romantic! With the warm weather and all that love in the air, you could really feel the heart of the day.
The reception was such an absolute blast! The room was filled with gold accents and a lively crowd that stayed on the dance floor thanks to a live drum band. Between the touching speeches and their first dance in the clouds, it was a night no one will forget.
Arifa and Jude’s wedding was absolutely fun, authentic, and full of heart! I'm so incredibly grateful we were there to document these memories for them.
